Penn State Zoologists Find Jurassic-Era Insect Outside Arkansas Walmart

Turns out we're a little closer to the Jurassic Era than we thought because a team of zoologists just found an insect from the Jurassic era outside a Walmart in Arkansas!

Apparently the director of Penn State University's Insect Identification Lab was shopping for groceries at a Walmart in Fayetteville, Arkansas when he found a large insect that he later identified as a super-rare giant lacewing.

Upon confirmation, he deposited the insect safely in the collections of the Frost Entomological Museum at Penn State, where scientists and students will have access to it for further research.

However. the weirder thing is that scientists think there may be a colony of the insect living in the Ozark Mountains and we're not here for an era of ancient bugs coming back to life like in Jurassic World Dominion, which you can see a clip of below on how that turned out (aka not well)!
