Snake Massages Are The Latest Self-Care Trend

When you feel tense, there is nothing more relaxing than a day at the spa. Facials, steams and massages of course. But this new trend in massages may do the opposite of relaxation.

Snake massages were trending in Indonesia and Israel so Wholeness Center Valley Cottage started giving these wild massages a shot. These massages are where you lay down, and let live snakes slither and move all over your body.

Serpentessa, Snake Priestess for 15 years, says the massages are done with Boas, a nonvenomous species. These specific massages tone and stimulate the vagus nerve to release endorphins and oxytocin as well as relieve stress and create pleasure.

According to therapists, snakes move in a way that humans hands can't, leaving you tension free...or completely terrified.
