- They looked at things like violent crimes in 2019 per 100,000 residents, as well as incarceration rates, total murders and poverty rates
- Alaska is the most dangerous state in the U.S., while Maine is the least dangerous

- Missouri

- Arizona
- As for the least dangerous state in the U.S., that would be Maine, with a violent crime rate of only 115.2 per 100,000 people, and the second lowest incarceration rate at 146 adults per 100,000.
