Country Music Soothes Shelter Dogs

posted by Katie O. -

A part-member of Animal Control, part-musician in Vance County, North Carolina played for the dogs up for adoption at a local shelter.

He chose an Alan Jackson tune and it calmed them down almost instantly.

There has to be some truth to animals enjoying music...I used to sing to my dog when I was a little girl to calm him down (note: I'm no Alan Jackson, and I was also 7. But I like to think I helped).

The moral of the story is to bring ALL OF YOUR DOGS to PPG Paints on March 24 when Alan Jackson is in town.

🎵Vance county animal shelter is adding on to their enrichment program!! Chad Olds, an animal service officer with Vance county played his guitar to a very eager crowd. The adoption room had never been so quiet and at peace. We plan to continue this program so keep watch for more free concerts 🎶 #VCASpets
