Country Music Was Front And Center During The “We’re Texas” Benefit

As you would expect, country music was well represented during the "We're Texas" benefit hosted by Matthew McConaughey over the weekend. Plenty of artists that we love made an appearance including George Strait, Kacey Musgraves, Clint Black, Willie Nelson and Miranda Lambert amongst others. I enjoyed all of those performances, but I think what I loved the most was seeing the country side of Texas native Post Malone.

Post has proved many times now that he is hardly a one trick pony. And the minute I saw him light a cig, toast a Bud Light and get the guitar out I knew it was gonna be great. He started out by playing Brad Paisley's hit I'm Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin' Song)," from back in 2002. During the credits of the event, he stuck around to jam extra with the brand when he played his version of Sturgill Simpson's 2013 song "You Can Have the Crown."

The entire event was great and you can view it from start to finish below - but if you are just interested in the Post Malone part you can catch that around the 2:04 mark.
