This iPhone Hack May Just Help You Sleep Better

If you're the kind of person that can't sleep in dead silence (and you have an iPhone), then this is for YOU. Apple has white noise, rain & more sounds installed on your phone that you can use to doze off & can even be played while you have music/ podcasts playing. This is also a great hack for parents who use white noise or other soothing sounds to put their babies to sleep.

Introducing Background noise on iPhone!!

Here's you find it to turn it on:

  1. Tap settings
  2. Choose Accessibility
  3. Go to Audio/ visual
  4. Select Background Sounds.


Once you're here, turn the background sounds on, then you can choose a sound you like. The sounds include: Balanced Noise, Bright Noise, Dark Noise, Ocean, Rain, and Stream

You can also add it to your control center, so all you have to do is swipe down to find the background noise option. here's how:

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Choose Control Center.
  3. Scroll down to Hearing, and tap the green plus (+) sign to add it to your Control Center.
  4. Open your Control Center.
  5. Tap the ear icon.
  6. On the next screen tap Background Sounds to turn the feature on and choose your preferred sound.


You can also create a shortcut feature, like tapping your phone.

  1. Tap Settings
  2. Choose Accessibility


Go to Accessibility shortcut and then choose background sounds
