According to a survey, employees spend 11 hours every week drafting emails. With an average of 112 emails a week that's just over 5 1/2 minutes on each one.

The survey also found:

  • 57% admitted that if an email is “too long” they won’t read the whole thing
  • 45% have missed something (like a deadline, a meeting, etc.) because they didn’t read an important email
  • 46% agree that email is an “outdated form of communication.”
