We're a little over a week away from Halloween and now is the perfect time to watch ALL the scary movies you've been holding off on and thanks to a new study we now know the scariest movies to actually watch!
A new study called “The Science of Scare” used scientific research to figure out the scariest movies of all time, as well as the scariest scene in a horror movie and found that 2010's Insidious is actually the scariest movie of all time.
Researchers used heart monitors to track participants' heart rates when watching scary movies and found that some heart rates jumped up to 133 beats per minute during the film.
The study doesn't specify which scene caused users' heart rates to jump up, we'll leave that for you to discover, but you can check the other movies that impacted heart rates the most below:
- Insidious
- Sinister
- Host
