Meet Toto! He is 13 years old and has been through a lot, but he is resilient. Unfortunately, his previous owner had dementia and would abuse him by spraying him with a high-powered hose.
Despite his past, A Home 4 Spot has learned that he is quirky and sweet! The senior, red fox-looking Toto is full of life and also full of naps. During the day, he will nap by his foster mom's feet while she works but shadows her everywhere she goes. Toto is going to need a family that understands he is a little different than normal dogs. He turns in right circles and right circles only. Sometimes, he will do small, tight right turns... Other times, he will gain some speed and run in large, happy circles in the yard.
Because of Toto’s quirky circles, it would be best if he found a home that allowed him to go outside in the yard or an area that doesn’t require a leash. 99% of the time, Toto will do his business outside and will need a home that lets him out a few times a day.
After being gone from home, you will come home to an excited Toto, who will prance and dance, letting you know he was missing you. He tolerates other dogs but doesn’t engage in play. He will allow you to carry him and loves ear scratches. He may even hop on your lap and settle in for a nap or snuggle. Toto is a quiet boy and doesn’t often bark.
