Carly Pearce is bumping up the release date of her long-awaited album, she revealed during an Instagram Live video on Wednesday afternoon (April 24).

The award-winning country star, who also celebrated her 34th birthday on Wednesday, announced that hummingbird will make its debut one week earlier than its originally-announced release date. Now, hummingbird is due on June 7. Pearce said “7 is my favorite number and it’s right before CMA Fest,” where she’ll take the main stage on Sunday, June 9 at Nissan Stadium in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The star-studded lineup at this year's CMA Fest, hailed the longest-running country festival in the world, will also include Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan, Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi, Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson and many others.

“I can’t believe that this is real,” Pearce said as she revealed the updated release date of the 29: Written in Stone follow-up that’s been two years in the making. “I put so much work into this album, and it’s great.”

Pearce, who is currently on tour with Tim McGraw, also played a sneak peek of an unreleased song from the album, “woman to woman.” So far, she’s shared the autobiographical anthem “country music made me do it,” “heels over head,” “my place,” “hummingbird” and “we don’t fight anymore” featuring Chris Stapleton, which won the 2024 CMT Music Award in the Collaborative Video of the Year category.

“The last few years have been a season of loss and growth, of healing and happiness. A belief that if I did the inner work, I would rebuild myself stronger than I was before, and a knowing that I have done some living and will always be unapologetic about it,” Pearce — who delivered the debut live performance of the title track hours after making her announcement at the 2024 Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee — said as originally announced hummingbird on March 1. “These 14 songs incapsulate my confidence that there is light on the other side of darkness and my true love of country music.

“When you hear this album — Wherever you are on your journey, I hope it shows you that pain can be a lesson that shows you just how strong you are and what you truly deserve,” she continued. “That we can all find the ‘hummingbird’ in the midst of whatever we’re going through.”
