All of this comes just a few hours after Antonio went on Instagram Live and told teams with guaranteed money to hit him up. I'm still not sure he understands that he is not a free agent and that the Steelers can send him wherever they want.
I didn't want Art Rooney to give in to Antonio Brown and his demands. Honestly I wanted the Steelers to hang on to him so that he ended up sitting out next season anyway. But it looks like he has caused such a headache for the organization as a whole that they finally decided that surrendering in the whole situation was the best move.
It really is interesting that so many Steeler greats are disassociated with the organization anymore. Before it was Terry Bradshaw, then Troy Polamalu, then James Harrison and Lev Bell, and now Antonio Brown. Obviously each situation is unique, but it really sucks when some of your best players completely cut ties to the team. I feel like the AB and Bell situations will sit in poor taste with Steeler fans ultimately though.
