Modern Warfare Is BACK BABYYYY And I Am Hyped!

HOLLLLLLY HELLLLLL. Ok I am not gonna come here and say that I have been a die hard COD player these past few years. Actually the honest truth is that since I became a grumpy adult I have pretty much cut video games out of my daily routine. Not because I'm not interested, but because I am worn the heck out by the time I get home every single day. But flash back to the 2009-2012 years of my life. Basically my high school career. A lil game came out called COD: Modern Warfare 2. I was never a first person shooter game guy, but all my pals convinced me that I needed to get this game so that I could play with them. I bought it and fell in LOVE. That was like the golden age of playing games online too (atleast for me). We played for HOURS every single night. You might say this doesn't make sense, but that was one of my favorite social experiences of all time. We had the same damn crew of guys every single day that would log on almost like clockwork and you would get after it all night long.

Since then, plenty of COD games have come out. Some good, some not so good. The truth is that it is really hard to follow up a game that was rated by many as one of the best of all time. But in addition to COD, we have seen so many first person games BLOW UP in the past few years. Fortnite, Apex, Battlefield etc etc. The "Battle Royale" format is crazy popular right now. COD experimented with that last year, and I think they might bring it back this year as well. But my point is that the attention has shifted away from COD and I think this is finally the game that brings them back. We don't know too much yet, but everything I have read seems overwhelmingly positive. I have strayed away from gaming for far too long, and I am praying that this game is the one that gets me back into all of the action this October.
