I'm a big NASCAR guy all year round, but even more so when they get to a superspeedway. The 4 races a year at Daytona and Talledega provide an added layer of excitement because the races are just pure chaos from start to finish. Virtually anyone that enters has a puncher's chance of pulling an upset win, and big crashes are well known at these types of tracks too. We already saw one underdog winner at Daytona earlier this year in Michael McDowell, and I was pulling for him to take the checkered flag again in this race. He came OH SO CLOSE, but in the end Brad Keselowski took home the win. Check out the excitement from the 2 overtime laps!
There's always the threat of "The Big One" at tracks like these. They largely avoided the gigantic pile-up type crashes, but there was one scary accident that sent Joey Logano upside down earlier in the race.
