Kelsea Ballerini is celebrating this week after taking home, not one, but two CMA Awards during “Country Music’s Biggest Night!”
In a recent interview with Cody Alan, Kelsea revealed some of her favorite highlights from the past 12 months.
"It's interesting because my gut reaction when I think about the last 12 months it's like, "Ugh, that was tough." But, when I really actually think about it, so many wonderful career things happened that wouldn't have happened otherwise," says the country star.
Aside from setting the stage for the Jonas Brothers on the 'Remember This' tour, Kelsea named some standout moments that have really meant a lot to her in 2021.
"Kelly Clarkson called me, and I got to fill in on her seat on The Voice," says Kelsea. "I wrote a book. I remade an album. I have two collaborations out on two separate formats right now."
"I have done a lot of things that wouldn't have happened otherwise and things that I am really proud of," Kelsea says sincerely. "So, I am not too mad at the last 12 months."
Kelsea and Cody both added “author” to their resumes this year, but that’s not the only thing that they have in common. Did you know that Kelsea and Cody were once neighbors? It’s true. You can read more about Cody’s journey by picking up his book, “Hear’s The Thing” available now everywhere books are sold.
